Step-by-Step projects and easy to use book. This book is well done and easy to understand. Many nice pictures. Am learning to woodburn on gourds and this helping a lot. Am just a beginner so every idea is great for me. Breaks down the machine and tips and provides step-by-step projects. A lot of simple patterns to use. This book is a great reference giving her ideas and patterns.More of an ideas book than a how-to I was expecting a more comprehensive explanation of woodburning. Either it's super simple, or this book just doesn't cover what it should.Only about 2-3 pages at the beginning actually discuss the mechanics, the rest are just kitchy proposed projects. Not really about how to make art. Buy a ready made wooden object and burn a stencil on it! The worst part is that the instructions for each project are essentially the same: draw the design, move it over using transfer paper, do the outline, then shade.This book is a waste of money. You could probably find all the information contained in this book in an internet blog post for free.
